Baboró International Arts Festival

Ireland’s premier international arts festival for children and families runs in Galway city and county in mid October, featuring Theatre, Dance, Literature, Music, Puppetry, Workshops and Visual Art for all ages. See the magic of well-known stories come to dazzling life on the stage. Special treats are also in store for everyone with beautiful exhibitions, readings and workshops. 

Now in it’s 23rd year, Baboró is Ireland’s flagship international arts festival devoted exclusively to children and families. This annual week-long festival of world-class creative arts features some of the best Irish and International artists and hosts creative engagement workshops for school children and families. The festival includes outreach programmes for children and families living in County Galway, Professional Development industry events.

This week long event takes places from Monday the 14th to Sunday the 20th of October.

Food On The Edge

Food on the Edge is a two-day symposium that takes place annually in Galway city, Ireland. It is for chefs & food enthusiasts all around the world who want to create a better global network.

Food on the Edge is a coming together of chefs to listen, talk and debate about the future of food in our industry and on our planet.

Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway

Tuesday 22nd to Monday 28th, October

 

The Vodafone Comedy Carnival runs from the 22nd to 28th October and will present leading Irish and international comics, improv, theatre, mime, table quizzes, photography, hip hop, and much more.

Headline acts will be confirmed in September 2019, but to give you a flavour of what to expect, last years acts at the 2018 Vodafone Comedy Carnival included Dylan Moran, Sean Lock, Reginald D Hunter, Jason Byrne, Rich Hall, Milton Jones, Gina Yashere, Joel Dommett, Rhys Darby, Enya Martin, Al Murray and Dermot & Dave to name only a few.

Ireland’s largest comedy festival will feature more than 100 acts, performing in 75 shows, across 18 venues, including at the now iconic Spiegeltent, located in the Eyre Square Comedy Village.
