Connemara Mussel Festival

3rd - 6th May 2019

A celebration of Killary Mussels harvested from “One of the Forty Places to See Before you Die” takes place on the glorious Renvyle Peninsula in North Connemara. This is the 11th year of the festival and promises that more mussels will be eaten here this weekend than in any other part of the country.

Galway International Arts Festival

Monday 15th to Sunday 28th, July 2019.

The Galway International Arts Festival is Ireland's largest annual arts festival and celebrates it's 42nd anniversary this year. The Opening for the 2019 Galway International Arts Festival will be taking place here on July 15th at The Galmont Hotel & Spa.

The festival covers a range of art forms, including theatre, dance, music, opera, street spectacle, visual arts, discussion and comedy. Highlights of last years festival were major acts in the Festival Big Top such as Caribou, Jenny Greene & The RTE Concert Orchestra, Walking on Cars and Gavin James.
