Where exactly is The Galmont Hotel & Spa?

The Galmont is on Lough Atalia Road in Galway, close to the city’s main bus and train station and just a few minutes’ from Eyre Square.  Please see our location map for more details.

What are the coordinates of the hotel?

The hotel’s GPS coordinates are 53°16'27.7"N 9°02’36.3.

Is there parking at the hotel?

There is a car park situated directly under the hotel, where guests can benefit from a daily rate of €9 per car. Please see here for more details.

Is it easy to get a taxi to or from the hotel?

Yes, the hotel is easily accessible by taxi and well known by taxi drivers. If leaving in a taxi, our Reception team can call a taxi for you.

STAY & SPEND SCHEME

The Stay and Spend Tax Credit is a new tax credit available for the years 2020 and 2021 and The Galmont Hotel is a registered premises for the scheme.

You can claim the Stay and Spend credit for qualifying expenditure incurred between 1 October 2020 and 30 April 2021. This includes expenditure on holiday accommodation and “eat in” food and drinks.

The Stay and Spend tax credit is equal to up to 20% of qualifying expenditure incurred, up to certain limits.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is at 4pm.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is at 12pm.

Is it possible to get a late check-out?

Yes - please speak to the Reservations team when you make your booking to arrange a late check-out until 3pm at a fee of €40 per room. 

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served from 8am to 11am daily in Marina's Restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. Breakfast time must be booked in advance.

HOTEL SERVICES 

Is Wi-Fi available at the hotel?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel free of charge.

Do you offer Laundry Service?

Yes, Laundry service is offered in the hotel and is available Monday to Saturday.
Items must be dropped to reception or collection requested prior to 8am in order to recieve same day return. 

Express Laundry is available Monday to Sunday from 8am to 8pm, this incurs an additional charge and has a 3 hour turnaround time. Please enquire at recpetion for additional  details & a full list of charges.

HOTEL FACILITIES 

What leisure facilities are available at the hotel?

Energize Fitness & Leisure has an 18-metre indoor swimming pool, a children’s pool, jacuzzi, sauna, outdoor hot tub and a fully-equipped gymnasium. The leisure facilities are complimentary to all guests staying in The Galmont Hotel. Due to current restictions, the swimming pool and gym need to be booked in advance. What are the opening times for the leisure centre?

The leisure centre is open from 7am - 8pm, Monday to Friday, and from 8am to 8pm, Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. The last entry is half an hour before closing time.

What are the opening times for Spirit One Spa?

Spirit One Spa is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 6pm. Please click here for more details on treatments and pricing.

Please Note: As part of iniative to maintain a green hotel, we encourage our guests to bring their own reusable water bottle which can be filled during your visit.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we offer a range of gift vouchers both online and at spirit one spa and the hotel reception desks - please see here to buy online.

  • ​As of the 29th of November 2019 gift cards & electronic vouchers are valid for five years from the date of purchase.
  • Supplements may apply at restricted times for example public holidays and special events.
  • The purchase of accommodation, meals or services is subject to availability.
  • Gift cards & electronic vouchers may not be redeemed for cash and are non-transferable.
  • A credit card or debit card is required to guarantee your booking.
  • Lost or mislaid gift cards cannot be replaced.
  • Monetary vouchers can be exchanged for goods, services or gift cards. 
  • Gift cards & electronic vouchers can be used as full or part payment. No change will be given. Any residual balance will be transferred to a new gift card.
  • Electronic vouchers may not be redeemed within 7 days from the date of purchase.
